Acticare: a B2B ecommerce platform built for smarter care home procurement
4 Roads replaced Acticare's ecommerce platform with a B2B system linked to OGL and MaxOptra: budgets, approvals, preferred products and self-service.

Verint Community
4 Roads built Tafani, STC's intranet on Verint Community: questions and discussions, ideation challenges, surveys and knowledge, on 54 custom widgets.
The brief
STC (Saudi Telecom Company) is Saudi Arabia's national telecom operator, and a major provider of digital services across the Middle East.
Tafani, its intranet, was one place where its people asked questions and found answers, shared news and knowledge, put forward ideas and took part in surveys, in Arabic and English. 4 Roads built it on Verint Community, alongside Verint and IST Networks, and worked on it from 2022.
Questions and discussions
Members asked questions and started discussions, sorted into topics that ran from 4G and 5G routers and roaming to stc pay, stc tv and customer complaints. Replies could be suggested and verified as the answer, and others with the same question said so rather than asking again.
The home page showed each member the open questions from their connections, their interests and their groups, and what they might answer.

Ideation
The ideation wall posed challenges, each with a cover picture and a closing date. Members submitted ideas, voted and commented, and each idea was triaged and marked with its status.
Every idea submitted to an open challenge earned its author 75 points, and points, levels and a leaderboard rewarded the people who took part.

Surveys
Administrators published a survey built in STC's eForms to chosen members or groups. Each person invited saw a reminder once a day, and administrators could see who had not yet looked, who had started, who had finished and who had declined.
Knowledge and groups
Knowledge collections brought content in from Verint Knowledge Management, linking the community to STC's FAQ and Ccare. Groups and units had their own files, blogs carried news and videos, and calendars their events.
Each group was as open as it needed to be: private or public, listed or unlisted, open or closed, or joinless, so anyone could take part without joining.
Built to last
A custom STC theme and 54 custom widgets extended the core platform, from onboarding and content translation to leaderboards, challenges and the survey tools. Their source was kept in source control, so every change was tracked, and the user guide 4 Roads wrote for STC's administrators explained how to run the community without losing that.
Tafani was joined up with STC's own systems: single sign-on, CRM and API integrations, and the data migrated in from before.
After launch
4 Roads went on supporting Tafani through 2024, and a second phase looked at dynamic translation for its multilingual community, with proof-of-concept work.
