Bradley Dyer: the technical partner behind an experiential agency's ideas

Bradley Dyer: the technical partner behind an experiential agency's ideas

4 Roads is Bradley Dyer's technical partner: what is possible and what it costs, then the build, from a Teen Titans vote to Disney's birthday message wall.

The brief

An agency of ideas, without a technical arm.

Bradley Dyer is a creative experiential agency. It uses creativity to find ways to engage people all through their journey as consumers, for brands such as Disney, Berkeley Group and Pearson, from brand identities to communication strategies.

Like many experiential agencies, it has no technical arm to build its digital ideas in house. It needed a reliable development partner to bring them to life quickly: support from the first concept to delivery.

  • Client: Bradley Dyer
  • Services: Strategy, design and development

At concept stage

Whether it can be done, how, and what it will cost.

4 Roads gives Bradley Dyer someone to consult while an idea is still a concept: whether it can be done, the tools and platforms it needs, and an estimate of what it will cost.

So Bradley Dyer goes to its clients knowing the project's scope and budget, and the campaign is technically sound as well as creative.

The build

A development team on call.

Then Bradley Dyer has 4 Roads' development team to build it, from concept to final execution. It focuses on the ideas, and leaves the technology to a partner it trusts.

The projects have run from a Britain's Got Talent-style voting experience for Teen Titans to a live event for Disney's 100th birthday, where guests' messages appeared on a display wall.

The Wonder Wall

Birthday messages for Disney, on a four-metre screen.

For Disney's 100th birthday, staff with tablets took guests' messages. A moderator approved each one before it appeared on the wall, a 16:9 LED video wall about four metres wide on a low podium, and a server ran the screen and linked the tablets.

The Wonder Wall concept drawing: staff with tablets take guests' messages, a moderator approves them, and they appear on a 4-metre LED wall.

On the night

Every message with a face.

On the wall, each guest's message appeared under their name with a character beside it: memories of meeting Mickey for the first time, of Splash Mountain and of Christmas films.

The wall at the event: guests' messages, each with a first name and a Disney character.
