Resting on REST
Four Roads was contracted by Readers Digest to provide consulting services and architectural expertise on integrating with Community Servers' REST API. In this capacity, Four Roads worked closely with RD's off-shore team to provide technical leadership on implementing a 100% Java based front-end with the CS web services framework. In providing subject matter expertise and best practices counsel on leveraging the API, Four Roads had to make special considerations and adjustments to account for the amount of anticipated site volume/traffic and services calls.
The results were actually quite remarkable and provided us deep exposure to the REST API framework within Community Server. We are proud to have the opportunity to work with Readers Digest and look forward to a continued long-term partnership.
