Just a quick suggestion.  The installation instructions might give a short paragraph to the required permissions on the folders/files just created.  At the point in your manual before one tries to navigate to '/controlpanel/addons/default.aspx.' 

In our experience we got NTFS permission errors attempting to reach that page.  Obviously that stops us getting to the neat feature of your install package which checks permissions automatically.
