What's Coming Next....

Now that the dust has settled from the Commerce for CS 2008 release, we about to embark on a set of enhancements that will allow you to use gift vourchers in your store. As with the rest of the product we will be producing the code in an open architecture that can easily be extended, so if we don't precisely fit your needs then it's worth contacting us to see if it can be achieved using an extension to the product.

I would also like to take this oportunity to thank everyone for the continued feedback and sugestions, we are trying to get through them as quickly as possible. Please keep the ideas coming.

Trial Download Issues

We have been made aware that our trial download has not been sending out the trial licenses. I have to apologize to all of you that have downloaded our trial and have until now only been able to trial 2 products. The issue has now been corrected and now when you download a trial an email will be sent including a trial license as an attachment.

If you would prefer to talk about the product please contact me and I will arrange for a trial license to be sent and at the same time I'll be happy to explain some of the features.

Commerce for CS 2008

We are proud and excited to announce that Commerce for Community Server 2008 is now available for download.

The past two months have been quite busy. Feature requests for Commerce are coming in fast and we're responding to them as quickly as possible. This new version of Commerce is a significant step forward and we owe the Community Server development team a big Thank You for delivering a terrific Community Server release. The new version of Commerce integrates seamlessly into CS 2008.

Improvements to Commerce include the following:

A new sales report shows sales by product and sales by manufacturer
You can now offer subscriptions having a trial period that differs from the renewal period (e.g., trial period for 14 days with a paid renewal every 30 days)
The shop dashboard now shows the number of product views
New shop themes are compatible with the CS Hawaii and Calypso themes
The Authorize.net payment gateway now supports trial subscriptions
In the Control Panel, we've added some miscellaneous improvements to the product maintenance screens
Improved caching and performance

We believe that you should be able to generate revenue with your community and we believe that Commerce for CS 2008 will help you do it! If you're new to Commerce download a trial now.

With the up and coming release of Commerce for CS 2008 we've decided to update the site to allow us to communicate better with you. One of things that we will try to be doing going forwards is to expand on what is happening on the development of our products in real time. We will also try and produce some interesting blogs about things that happen day to day during development that may help you use or better understand Community Server.
